(Opinion)

In my writings, I have discussed various philosophers, but Arthur Schopenhauer stands out as one of my favorites, despite his occasional excessive pessimism. What particularly attracts me to Schopenhauer is his perspective on music and its capacity to not only soothe the soul but also to bring healing to the body.
Schopenhauer had a deep passion for music in addition to being a philosopher. I will include some links at the end to provide further insight into the man and his works, as they have greatly influenced my own writings and philosophies. Intellect and Intelligence: Understanding the Distinction and Its Significance (from-the-grey.com)
Schopenhauer is a complex intellectual, much like me, which creates a sense of connection between us, despite not sharing complete agreement with all of his ideas. In nearly six decades, I have not encountered anyone whom I agree with entirely on every matter.
That individual is non-existent to those who engage in independent thinking. Consider this.
Music has the power to calm even the most restless soul and bring peace to a troubled mind. For many, me included, the genre of music plays a crucial role in this process. This leads us to the realm of personal preferences, which are deeply connected to emotions.
I acknowledge your potential concern as I begin my writing process by removing emotional distractions. Given that music predominantly impacts us emotionally, it may appear difficult to eliminate emotion from the equation. This is a valid query, and I have a convincing response for you.
Nevertheless, answering that question necessitates posing an initial query: What defines music?
At its core, music consists of a sequence of frequencies arranged in a manner that is enjoyable to our ears and capable of triggering emotional reactions. It has the power to soothe us, energize us, evoke feelings of sadness or euphoria. Yet, the question remains: what is the underlying reason for this effect?
The emotional responses we experience when listening to music are influenced by the frequencies used in its creation. Music creators have a deep understanding of how specific frequencies can impact our minds, leading to the wide variety of music genres available. Individuals are naturally attracted to particular frequencies, each resonating differently with different people.
It is likely that each one of us has encountered a specific frequency or individual that has captivated our attention, whether consciously or subconsciously. When we come across something or someone with a similar but not exact frequency to our own, we are inexplicably drawn to them.
Long-lasting friendships are formed through the harmonious blending of individual frequencies, although perfection is never truly attainable.
Emotional distractions have been eliminated to focus solely on frequencies, which, although capable of triggering emotions, are not emotional in nature themselves. These frequencies represent a fundamental aspect of our existence in the natural world. Through observation, people quickly grasped the connection between specific behaviors and frequencies, even if they didn't comprehend the frequencies themselves. This predictability emerged as they witnessed the effects on those around them.
Human behavior is predictable, and anything that can be predicted is susceptible to being exploited by malevolent individuals for manipulation. This is inherent in human nature, which remains constant.
Prior to proceeding, it is crucial to acknowledge that frequencies can be sensed in addition to being heard. For instance, sitting by a tranquil waterfall induces relaxation, while sitting near a bustling road can evoke feelings of tension and irritation. Our response to these frequencies occurs regardless of whether we can audibly perceive them, or even see our surroundings, as we can feel the atmosphere around us. These frequencies play a significant role in maintaining a healthy mind and body, a fact that many individuals are unaware of.
Another important point to grasp is that this is not a mere superstition but rather a validated scientific concept supported by centuries of psychological research. It may prompt you to question why such a beneficial and freely available tool for our mental health is not widely known. Most of my writing delves into this topic, so feel free to explore further!
In a concise overview, I initially discovered the advantages of frequency through my exploration and application of Buddhist teachings. My interest deepened as I delved into Hinduism, particularly in understanding the 7 Chakras and utilizing frequency to "rebalance" them. While the religious element is intriguing, our focus remains solely on the frequencies and their effects.
Here are the 9 Solfeggio frequencies (<<More in depth) that I utilize, each with its specific "purpose". Do what you will with that, personally I do not pay much attention to it. I just find frequencies that I know work for me. It's a process.
174 Hz – Reduce pain, alleviate stresses
285 Hz – Influence Energy, Rejuvenation
396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and FearÂ
417 Hz – Facilitating Change
528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles
639 Hz – Connecting/Relationships
741 Hz – Expression/Solutions
852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order
963 Hz – Awaken Crown, Spirit
Below is a selection of the 9 for you to browse through. Identify one or more that resonate with you to discover your personal wavelength. Keep in mind that this is a process that requires patience; there are no immediate results, as refining ourselves takes time, much like fine-tuning a musical instrument.
On a personal level, I might relax with specific frequencies depending on my mood, but when it comes to bedtime, I prefer to listen to a loop of various frequencies. Even if you are skeptical about the health benefits of frequencies, familiarize yourself with them to be able to identify them. Then, explore a diverse selection of music genres, and you will encounter these frequencies within them.
Consider your thoughts on this matter, as these frequencies have a continuous impact on our lives every single second, whether we are aware of it or not. They are also being used against us in many ways. (There is no lack of information about this on the internet) The real question is, wouldn't you prefer to have control over how these frequencies affect your life, rather than being subject to random disruptions or outside manipulations that disturb our peace of mind?
What have we got to lose? Something to think about y'all, till next time. ~Ghost
Arthur Schopenhauer
This has been around for centuries.
The most important thing to remember is that this is spiritual, it involves no one but us. This is a practice, not a religion so it in no way interferes with any religion I know about. It is free, and it helps so why not try it out.
