There can easily be some misunderstanding about what I actually mean when I say human nature cannot change because it could be interpreted as a contradiction.
First, we have to examine our understanding of human nature because we may not all see it the same way.
Human nature is our shared instinctually driven behavior patterns at their base level, our primal selves which means it is our unchangeable need for self-fulfillment in all possible contexts. We want or need so we simply take and harm anyone that tries to stop us. The best term I have ever heard for this mentality is a barbarian. They have no empathy; they can't be reasoned with because they have no morality or conscience to appeal to. They want what you have, and they will kill you to get it, and it does not matter if it is a butter knife or a pot of gold. Taking it by force is what the barbarian lives for, it is their nature, it is all of our nature to be barbarians because it is human nature to be barbaric.
Here is where some people have challenged me with this being a contradiction because there are good people and there are bad people in this world. That is a flawed conclusion based on emotional reasoning not fact. There are no "Good" people in this world, we all have the same base nature of barbarism, and we do not change that nature.
We choose to resist it in our day to day lives but it is always there, waiting for us to let our guard down and for those who are unprepared it is usually only one crisis away because that is when our true nature shows. But more importantly this is also when our "Character" shows because they are two peas in a pod.
Morality is not doing what is wrong, that is how we resist our human nature, and morality only comes from one place, Christianity, which is why it is under constant attack from the barbarians. Character on the other hand is in choosing to do what is right and that is how we fight the ones who choose to remain barbarians.
As I said earlier, those of us who choose to follow God which I believe still places us in the "good" category do not change or nature, we resist it, and it is a struggle we must face every day of our lives. This earth belongs to Satan and everything of this earth is inherently evil by default, we must choose to stop being barbarians and by making that choice we make ourselves targets for every barbarian out there as we no doubt are fully aware of if we are even paying a little bit of attention.
However, there is an even deeper fact hiding down here that is largely ignored because of its finality. People do not like absolute truths very much, they scare the bee Jesus out of them because it eliminates the last thread, they can grasp a hold of to think they are in control. If you want you can read more on that HERE.
